The romance of Robert & Clara Schumann is one of classical music’s greatest love stories, encompassing every imaginable passion–love and jealousy; triumph and failure; euphoria and despair; great joy and greater tragedy. This unique musical and theatrical presentation will give a glimpse into their early romance, their growing love, and their absolute faith that love can, indeed, conquer all.

Ronstadt Generations Concert

This Thursday at 7 pm come to the Northwest Corner of Lansdowne & Baltimore Avenues (The concert takes place on the lawn of St. John the Evangelist Church located at 19 W. Baltimore Avenue, Lansdowne, PA) for a free outdoor concert featuring Ronstadt Generations.

Ronstadt Generations consists of Michael J. Ronstadt, Michael G. Ronstadt, Petie Ronstadt and Josh Hisle, spanning two generations with a repertoire that reaches back to the end of the 19th century while continually looking forward into the 21st. Four voices, multi-instrumentalists, solo artists and original songwriters with a rich family blend offer audiences the chance to truly have an experience to be remembered.

Upcoming Concert Schedule:

Caleb Hawley – Thursday, July 22
Often compared to Stevie Wonder, James Taylor, and Raul Midon, Caleb is a charming, soft-spoken guitar virtuoso with a great big voice that can sing just about anything.

Shannon Wurst – Thursday, July 29
Shannon is an entertainer, storyteller, and songstress who has opened for Robert Earl Keen, Yonder Mountain String Band, Carlene Carter, and Railroad Earth.

Anne McCue – Thursday, August 5
Anne is an Australian alt-country singer-songwriter currently living in Nashville. Known for her guitar skills, she also plays every instrument she can get her hands on.

The Lansdowne Economic Development Corporation presents the entire roster of performers for the 2010 Lansdowne Summer Concert Series. All four outdoor concerts are free and open to the public. Concerts take place on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. on the lawn of St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church (Northwest corner of Baltimore and Lansdowne), and start at 7 pm. In case of inclement weather, performances will be held at Regency Cafe, 29 North Lansdowne Ave.
